San Martino
Based off the Mesa Madness map, the “Planet” of San Martino is one of the most challenging planets yet colonized by man, because of its unique atmosphere. Humans can only live safely on the high mountaintops, while the resources they need to survive are generally only found down on the valley floors. Internal combustion engines tend to explode messily without warning, forcing the development of Fission powered Steam Engines, which can operate safely even along the valley floors. And just in time, as San Martino must prepare for a probable invasion from the expansionist Peoples Republic.
